SolePrac.co.uk Guest Author Programme
What is SolePrac.co.uk
SolePrac.co.uk is a website aimed at providing verifiable CPD uniquely for the Sole Practitioner accountant, bookkeeper and tax advisor community. It launched in July 2024.
Via online training courses which can be undertaken at any time, SolePrac.co.uk delivers learning content for Sole Practitioners focused on their professional, personal and practical development. Each course includes useful takeaway tasks aimed at not only improving the Sole Practitioner’s Practice but also focused on helping the practitioner move towards a desired work – life balance.
Currently SolePrac.co.uk offers a number of courses ranging from how to create a Money Laundering Policy for your Practice, what to do when things go wrong through to dealing with bad debts. New courses will be added in the forthcoming weeks and months.
Guest Authors
Part of the ethos of the site is for the wider community of Sole Practitioners across the UK to share their knowledge and skills via providing guest authored courses which can be added to the SolePrac.co.uk portfolio.
This is a great way for a Sole Practitioner to build a small passive income earned by receiving commission of 60% on the guest authored courses that they write and sell via SolePrac.co.uk.
In addition a Guest Author can sign up as an Affiliate and receive a commission of 25% of original SolePrac.co.uk courses sold via their affiliate code. Note – they will not receive commission on other guest authored courses.
Courses can be about almost anything that would be useful to Sole Practitioners from technical skills, such as a specialist area of tax, how to get the best out of an accounting system for a particular client type through to softer skills involved in running a practice.
The list of topics is endless although we do have some rules of engagement to follow.
Rules of engagement
The course must be in our house style which you can view on any of our online courses.
See all of our courses at https://soleprac.thinkific.com/pages/courses
You can view the content of a course without purchasing it although the best way to see our house style is by actually purchasing a course.
Basically our house style means that a course is broken down into easy to read chapters and lessons which should include key takeaways such as sample documents. It should also include tasks aimed at improving the Sole Practitioner’s practice through enhancing their professional, personal and practical development.
A course must be original content, not copied or AI generated, well written, spelled checked, contain no errors and be copyright free.
How are courses priced?
Our ethos is to provide low cost courses suitable for the Sole Practitioner where every outlay means less profit for them.
Hence as a rough guide we price our courses as follows:
Number of Words | Minutes to read | Price inc VAT |
4000 | 20 | £25 |
6000 | 30 | £30 |
12000 | 60 | £60 |
The specific price for a course will be determined after a review of the content and course suitability has been assessed.
The key to success is to write courses which are suitable across the whole of the diverse accountant, bookkeeper and tax advisor Sole Practitioner community.
SolePrac.co.uk reserve the right to reject a course for publication.
